The works of this Brooklyn based painter have an atmospheric quality of moodiness juxtaposed with a whimsical twist. Many times this sarcastic turn comes in the form of a non-human creature that playfully interacts with the main subject. Ever present in his art is a strange combination of intensity and melancholy. The result is a metaphoric relationship that allows examination of the human condition from a unique and painterly point of view.

Most recently, he has been drawn to the custom painting of vinyl toys, a fitting medium for his odd sensibility.

Patrick Francisco was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and shortly lived in the Philippines before settling in New York City where most of his life has been spent. He is a BFA graduate of SUNY FIT’s Illustration program and has spent time at both the Art Student’s League of NY and Spring Studio SoHo.
