Brandon Dunlap

As a working artist, Brandon Dunlap employs the use of drawing, painting, printmaking, and photographic techniques within his image making process. Defying the rote tendencies of the mechanical, and sometimes repetitive, nature of digital media, Brandon’s images cut through to a more personal approach whereby his street savvy yet sophisticated ethos emerges.

In addition to his solid background as a Fine Artist, having received his MFA in painting and printmaking from the University of South Florida, Brandon continues to work as an illustrator-for-hire creating numerous posters,  flyers, and commissioned portraits. He also applies his grungy street textured aesthetic to design and apparel projects for 1. ResistToday.com where he serigraphically reproduces his uniquely designed imagery onto everyday items such as t-shirts, wallets, pillows and messenger bags.

Intuitive changes and happy accidents are essential to Brandon's creative progression. Not only does he welcome these situations but also encourages and relishes them as having a positive and lasting influence on his art and his process of personal and professional exploration.
