Rebecca Skelton

In the sculpture,  "Mad Queen," I imagined what dysfunctional but ornate cup Alice's queen would have used.

In the drawing, "Free,"I have tried to remember my friend, Katherine, with whom I used to share a cup. She has passed on, so I added in broken chains. I have painted the washes with layers of green and expensive black tea in her honor, since she was more of a connoisseur of such things than I am.
